Issue:
Performing FW updates is tedious and dangerous when using the Auto-Reboot feature.
As a precaution, we always disable the auto-reboot then perform an update, but this requires too many clicks (I usually have around a dozen tabs open for devices to keep track of them).
The FW Update button is already in the column under the main "Customers" page, but not the "Auto-Reboot" button.
I understand the a better feature would be for bulk updates, but if that is too complex, this is a very easy feature to implement as it would just be a shortcut button.
How easy would it be to perform updates this method even if you have hundreds of WattBoxes.
  • Step 1: Click all the "Auto-Reboot" buttons in the "Customers" dashboard.
  • Step 2: Click all the "Update" buttons in the "Customers" dashboard.
  • Step 3: Wait for all devices to refresh on the page.
For Step 2, clicking the "Update" button should not take you into the device's dashboard for further clicks. You should stay in the main "Customers" page. You can leave the confirmation popup to avoid accidental updates (and/or have another setting to disable confirmation warnings).
