Adding New Device
in progress

Since the new OVRC interface, using Chrome on a desktop, I've noticed that each time I've added a new device i will go through and enter the MAC, ST, and Name. Once this is done the Save button doesnt appear, it just has a spinnning icon on it. So I have to cancel out of it then and re-add device. This has happened everytime for me.

Can you guys please test this again and see if you're running into this issue?

Just experienced this with Chrome on Android. Driving me batty. Had to use a desktop to get it to work. I was adding a Pro 300 Hub.

All, we think we have resolved this in our development environment, but just to make sure can everyone post a few examples of models that they are still seeing this on today in production?

James Zabel: Thank you, James. Is this "fix" newly resolved this morning? If not, note that just this weekend (Saturday 8/15, I believe), after installing an AN-310-RT-4L2W router, we had issues with adding a 210-SW-F-16-POE switch and 2 - AN-700-AP-I-AC WAPs to OvrC (as noted in my message to you earlier this morning about devices that, in fact, had been added, but the process seemed to be stuck and/or the devices did not appear in the device list until exiting the client location, going to another client location, and then returning to the problematic client location.) At one point, I think we go the "device already claimed" error, even though it was not showing in the device list. It will likely be later this week or early next week before we are on-site at any client location and adding any new devices, but I'll be glad to update you again at that time.

James Zabel: Today it was a replacement WB-700-IPV-12, only after putting in the MAC it said it was unable to find the device (Android App and Chrome), but it worked when I tried with the Legacy.

James Zabel: Happy to hear you're close to a solution. I am having the issue still as of today adding an Araknis 310 router, I believe it is model AN-310-RT-4L2W but it's not in front of me at the moment.

Ben Brewton Jeff Kaplan Eric Cohen Can anyone confirm that the issue with adding a device causing the save button to be unclickable is still occuring? We have had difficulty with reproducing this issue internally.

Unable to add a new Araknis router to our account because of this bug. Any ETA for the fix?

This is still happening. I can't get my customers tvs running when I can't even add the device.

James Zabel: I sometimes have the issue described and I am also having what may be a related issue, which occurs in this sequence: (1) Add a device manually using MAC and ST, (2) device does not successfully add, (3) try to enter info a second time, (4) OvrC reports device has been previously claimed (however, it does not show in client device list), (5) exit from that client/location, to to another location, then re-select previous client/location, (6) new device appears in device list. This also occurs with the auto-scan, which sometimes behaves as described in this thread and at other times OvrC reports something like "no new devices found", but trying to add manually returns the "previously claimed" message, even though the device does not show in the device list. After exiting that client and returning; however, the device then appears in the list as described above. In most of the situations when I have observed this behavior, it seems to be more of a "refresh" issue than a problem with it being added. Of course, it's a huge annoyance and waste of time to have to get error messages and have to go through multiple steps every time a new device is added.

Please fix this. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to add a device 7 times and it still doesn't add.

I've experienced the same.
Glad to see it's being addressed.

Thanks, we have just recreated this bug. We'll get some eyes on it and hopefully fix it in the next release or two.
