Control4 Systems updating themselves

We have had my own system and now a customers control4 system completely lock up. When going to Ovrc site to look into the controllers status they say they are updating. I am on X4 and the customer is on OS3.4.3 Why are control4 systems updating themselves? Is anyone else seeing this?

yes I was in mid-takeover of a BestBuy Magnolia mess last month, parked the director at 3.4.3 near 11pm, left a 2ndary EA-1 on the network but disconnected from its TV with plan to return another day. The EA-1 began an ill-fated attempt to update from 3.1.x to 3.4.x in one leap and of course corrupted, locking the main director EA3 up for days. TS said "oh it has auto-update now" but another tier2 guy hadnt heard of this. What's going on, OvrC team?
