Enable/Disable Port on Schedule

I have similar client concerns but since the APs are POE we succeed with powering off ports on schedule

Any idea if this is getting implemented?

Is there any update on this topic ? It has been in the "planned" category for four years. Thanks.

Very good suggestion ! This should be a basic feature.

Looking for this as well. An example script would be an ok holdover.

Ability to schedule WiFi/POE off

So, this is coming up more and more. I have some crazy customers, even though I've tried to explain to some of the less crazy ones that theres NO indication ever that low level RF radiation from cell phones/AP's and microwaves (that have been around for 40 years) cause any type of issues they yet STILL want the ability to schedule complete wifi shutdown. Could we have it through the OvrC home app the ability to schedule POE/Wattbox power.

Actually, there are many studies indicating that low-level RF does have negative affects. Most notably, it interrupts sleep cycles. Araknis access points already have this feature built-in, though it isn't exposed in OvrC. You can manage scheduling from the local UI. Wattbox does not have the feature built in, but it can easily be scripted using the Wattbox API.

Rob Dunham: Don't argue with a customer. Just try to serve. There are legitimate reasons to switch zones on and off differently in a compound.

Holger Lindner: Did you even read my comment? I gave reasons supporting the request and even offered alternative solutions to use until it is implemented.

Rob Dunham: Hi Rob, sorry got your response wrong initially. Unfortunately, the local UI for Pakedge got disabled by Pakedge and there is no scheduling function any longer. I just get desperate that I am migrated onto a new platform without choice and now features which were a key purchase criteria are missing.

I have a similar post, so you get an upvote!

We are also interested in this function. What if there is no wattbox.

Another use case is a parent who wants to restrict game console usage, and so wants to shut off certain ports on a schedule.
