Hi OvrC Team,
I’d like to request a feature enhancement related to user access permissions within OvrC.
Current behavior:
When inviting a user to a customer’s OvrC location, they gain visibility to all devices associated with that location. This includes network devices, Control4 controllers, AV equipment, power devices, etc. As a result, the device list can become cluttered, and users who only need access to the network side end up seeing and sometimes interacting with devices unrelated to their role.
Requested enhancement:
It would be extremely useful if we could assign or invite a user (or group) with restricted visibility — for example, allowing them to view and manage only:
Network-related devices (routers, switches, APs, etc.)
Speed tests and WAN status
Internet uptime reports
while hiding all other devices (e.g., AV, lighting, control processors, etc.).
Use case:
For multi-party projects (e.g., collaboration between networking teams, integrators, and end users), we often need to give partial access. The ability to filter or select specific device categories or assign per-device/group visibility would help reduce clutter and maintain privacy and system integrity.
This would make OvrC much more flexible for integrators working in larger, multi-discipline projects.
Thanks for considering this — it would be a huge improvement for managing complex client sites.
