New device scanning is a huge mess

Whatever change was made recently to the scanning and notifications is a mess. I've now got tons of sites giving me notifications of a device from another site being detected on the network and wanting to add it. In every single instance of this so far it has been a cell phone or other personal devise. It's flagged me and my computers and phone, my techs devices, or the personal devices if one of the property management people. It has already become a bit who cried wolf scenario, since now we all assume that any device notifications are useless junk like this.

Maybe at least an option to tag employee phones and laptops as multi-site devices? It's pretty annoying when I can't scroll down the list of devices until I dismiss the banner at the top acknowledging that my laptop has been to more than one house.

Agreed. Turn this off. Even the notification banner is a waste of the already poorly used screen real estate.

Jeremy is right. When you read through what is suppose to happen, I though it would apply this to only OVRC enabled devices, not every device on the network. So Tech Laptops, Phones, Tablets keep getting tagged that they need to be added to the site.

In the several accounts I've dealt with this already, I see very little value to it. If the goal was to get new devices automatically added, maybe it save a few minutes on large projects, but at what cost. If the decision is made to keep the feature perhaps make the default OFF.

I just noticed this over the weekend - it was my laptop and perhaps cell phone that it had tagged to 2 other (different) sites one of which I hadn't visited for perhaps a year. What did you change?

100% agree with Jeremy. Also, we need a way to stop a scan that has started automatically.
