Self explanatory. There are dozens are use-case scenarios where X4 is not practicle or even possible. Requiring a system to be on X4 to complete the handoff is proving to be very cumbersome, restrictive, and hurtful to our business. It's severely and negatively affecting our business, and hurting our bottom line. We have a lot of older clients that don't do well with the new clutter interface. We also do a lot of takeover jobs, where a perfectly functional OS3 system stays in a home and needs to be activated for the new home owners, but the system is not fully compatible with X4 due to legacy hardware, or loss of functionality (limited to 4.0 only, which is EXTREMELY buggy). Also, the X4 app is extremely slow in comparison to the OS3 app, and due to the massive processor and memory overhead needed for X4, OS3 is more practical for a lot of applications that don't need X4 features. OS3 is a fully supported and compliant OS, and there is NO legitimate or valid reason to require X4 to complete handoff. Especially for EXISTING systems that have new owners. Dealers know FAR BETTER what is best for their clients and their unique situations, and Snap/ADI management should not be making these decisions for us.
