Public roadmap

Is there a public roadmap for OvrC development? With every update it's becoming more abundantly clear that the developers don't actually use the platform. Since the last update I'm being forced to remove OvrC/Araknis devices from more and more locations. I'd really like to know if this is a chink in the armor or if this trend will continue. Tearing out equipment that isn't end-of-life at my own expense is quickly becoming unsustainable.

Lending my upvote here for the publication of an OvrC development roadmap, and NOT advocating for removing hardware (...at this time, of course).
And, I also agree that it appears that the OvrC developers are not daily users of the platform. Some of the new OvrC UI issues are just maddening and obvious to anyone using it regularly.

OvrC Development needs to stop future development until all current issues/bugs have been resolved, then continue with great things moving forward

I’m curious as well. Why do you have to remove equipment?

Steve Randazzo: Araknis devices have some pretty glaring flaws that prevent me from using them in production. DNS passthrough is flawed on WAPs. Routers have faulty VPN implementations and don't correctly handle DHCP options. Switches won't remember port settings. Wattboxes refuse to do firmware updates. And many, many more.
Many of these issues require installing similar hardware to take over these operations so it makes the most sense to just replace them.
The only reason to keep them is OvrC, but it's now unusable as well. I'm just trying to get an idea if it will be fixed or if I should just get underway removing the rest of the Araknis equipment I have deployed.

Why would you need to rip out this hardware? I'm confused. Don't use OvrC - that's fine... but why replace the hardware?

Shawn Lemay: In some cases, I'm replacing OvrC enabled equipment with other equipment that has cloud monitoring capabilities. Mostly though, it's because there are some pretty glaring issues with Araknis products. I just tossed this in here because I have had to replace equipment to install alternatives to OvrC at mission critical remote sites.
