Simultaneous Updates

OVRC should have the capability to firmware update devices simultaneously instead of one at a time. At least allow it for similar devices. I don't see why we can't update all Wattboxes at the same time, or all access points at the same time, etc. It takes way to long to update when there are multiple devices needing updates.

Rolling updates would be good. Once one device is finished it will move on to the next. TP-Link Omada has this feature.

I can see why they dont run at the same time.
Lets say you're updating a POE switch and a WAP at the same time and the switch power cycles at the end of its update. Now you have a switch and a over-priced ceiling brick.

Mike Lanethere can be some protective logic - like allow all devices of a feather (APs) to be updated together, but not switch + APs. Also its not clear that you actually get a brick vs. just a failed update if the switch resets during an AP update. Unlike PC BIOS update warnings, there's no banner alert about that condition, and I hope that Araknis devices are built to tolerate noisy field conditions. Sophos and SonicWALL firewalls, for example, have A and B boot partitions and you can recover to prior version fairly easily.
