This would be HUGE, I can imagine the Parasol team would love this too.

This would be very helpful, I have asked for this a couple of times in the past

Something like UniFi but without the AR gimmick would be super useful!

Brendan Thomas: As a multi-year user of UniFi I agree with you 100%. While the AR thing is interesting, we rarely used it. But, the ability to see the network in a schematic via UniFi was awesome. To be able to see where a connection was located from a switch surely made our work day much shorter, especially if you are connecting many multiples of devices. While OVRC is nice, the topology feature in UniFi is really hard to beat.

Pakedge BakPak had this feature. OvrC should implement something similar.

Give Domotz Pro a try! Does that and so much more!

Sean Kelly: Well, not really. First off, it doesn't do it for free. You have to purchase add-ons. And second, it works about as well at scanning as OvrC. It's typically full of false positives and the topology is rarely ever correct on networks with any amount of real architecture. And who needs it if you just have everything connected to a single core switch?

Auvik is another great resource that is software only. If OVRC could do that it will be unstoppable

Take a look at unifi , if you want and idea of what we would like.

Rob Dunham
Clancy c: OvrC has enough bugs without copying Unifi. The UI is nice though.

Rob Dunham: true, true. Just would be nice to see more info. Makes our jobs easier.

Clancy c: Tbh, I really like the idea too. But there's so many mission critical bugs in OvrC now that I'd rather see them work on fixing what we have than implementing these kinds of features. On a serious note though, have you seen a diagramming system that works well? The ones I've tried seem more like novelties than usable tools. I haven't found them to be very accurate.

Rob Dunham: unfortunately ui's tool works really well down to the point of it telling you the port the device is plugged into, if it hardwired, and what ap it's on with rsi. Yes, ovrc and araknis needs some serious fixes, if any think take a hint from there partner company pakedge.
